Book Review: If She Did It

Hey,
       WOW! Has it really been this long since I last wrote to you guys. You have some really good patience if you are some some of my original readers. Thank you for sticking around. I really can’t believe it’s been a year and half. Some of you, must of been wondering when I was going to upload a new book or even if I was going to upload ever again! Well since I have been away, most of you may of been thinking,
What have you’ve been doing in that time I’ve been away?! Well truthfully not a lot has changed I still LOVE reading all the books that I buy. The honest answer to that question is that I just fell out of love with writing and couldn’t seem to motivate myself to go back to writing each time I finished reading a new book. I finally have fallen out of that loop hole and here I am. I havent seen many reviews for this book so I thought I would give it ago myself. I picked a really great book but more about my opinion later on in the review. Silly me! All I’ve done so far is talk about myself,
How are all you guys doing?
Has anything changed for you guys, the readers since I’ve been away if so what?
Do you have any other book bloggers you enjoy reading, if so who?

So the book I’ve chosen is If She Did It it was written by Jessica Treadway.

Before I go any further into the review I would like to take just a little side step, if we can call it that. I’m just going to say WELCOME!! To any new readers that have just found my blog posts. For the readers who are new around here and don’t know the structure to my blog posts yet. This next part of my blog post is all about the blurb from the book. The term blurb is just another fancy way of saying the short paragraph on the back cover that sums up the book perfectly. Most people use that term but it can also and very often be called the synopsis. The blurb can be found on the back cover like I mentioned before but if you’re reading a hard-backed copy of a certain book because you’re just so excited for that certain book and you just can’t wait for the paperback version to come out. The blurb for them can often be found on the inside of the front cover, or if you would like the proper term. On the inside of the dust jacket. Just a little enquiry, have any you tried when they completely cover the book in some sort of wrapping paper and you only get a few words describing the book and what type of book it is.

So many questions, sometimes readers give the best answers. Here is a little heads up on why I put the blurb into my blog posts. I don’t think everybody does it. I have the blurb in my posts (it gets  repetitive if I keep saying blog posts, which is just going to bore you) because it’s definitely more
convenient for you the readers as you can make up your mind/opinion on whether you like the sound of this particular book. Therefore you don’t have to spend ages looking online or roaming the shops
looking for the book just based off a picture that I will share with you later on at the end of this
segment of review. Or if you have already bought the book because the cover got your interest, this is something extra for you guys, the readers. Just don’t read the ending of this review, if you haven’t
finished the book yet because it might just spoil it for you. So here we go the blurb to this great

           There we have it, at the end of this section there will be a picture of the blurb/synopsis. That’s just in case you like taking in pictures in better than reading more information. Also readers if you are one of the few people who have already finished the book, PLEASE don’t give any spoilers to those who haven’t finished it yet!! Those people are just the worst. It just reminds me of the scene from FRIENDS when Rachel and Joey are reading Little Women and The Shining. If you know you know, but if you don’t watch FRIENDS that’s just gone straight over your head!

The next part of my blog post is all about the author of the book because they deserve a huge amount of credit also. I mean where would be without the many authors in the world. If books didn’t exist,  that would mean you wouldn’t of been able to learn/write meaning you couldn’t of enjoyed this blog post or the many others that people post daily. Most people just think of them as being an ordinary  person. But they are definitely more than that. Just think about them when your reading a really good book next. A lot of work goes into writing a book. Like the amount of meetings they have with their book management and the book publishers teams before a whole idea even gets contracted into a

book. The amount of phone calls they will have to take. The many hours they will have to spend
 sitting at a computer screen answering the endless amounts of emails and finally the many hours they  have to promote it traveling to many different parts of the world hoping it becomes the next bestseller. All of this is being done whilst they have their own lives to live so they don’t see much of their own families when they are writing or if they have a young family they wait til they have gone to bed. Meaning they have really long working hours. So it’s really nice to have a section dedicated to them as those hours seem worth it when you see the smiles on their faces when the book reaches the best outcome and receiving many awards and sometimes turning into great movies. So this is like my very own dedication page like at the beginning of each book. To authors where would we be without you!! So here goes some information about Jessica Treadway:
   Jessica Treadway is a novelist and short-story writer interested primarily in the psychological lives of characters who may be hiding things from themselves. A former news reporter for United Press International, she published her first book of stories in 1992, followed by her first novel in 2001 and a second collection, winner of the Flannery O’Connor Award for short fiction, in 2010. Most of her work is realistic fiction about families. Jessica is a professor of creative writing at Emerson College in Boston.

It is now time to start my opinion part of this blog post.
Do you ever have that annoying voice in the back of your head begging you to pick a really good one,  the next time you pick up a new book. No just me? HA!
Why is that voice so judgemental most of time, mostly about books?
There was no need for it this time though. First of all let’s talk about the cover, although there’s that famous saying ‘never judge a book by it’s cover’ there was just something about it drew me towards it. It had to be the hard stare from the girl on the front. I’m sorry but I don’t know if this book has different covers for the rest of the world. But the U.K version is just intense making me feel a little uncomfortable. Plus it just makes me want to read before every other book I have to read and the fact that they put that rhetorical question on the cover they have cleverly placed it there making you pick it up so you can know the answer as soon as possible. That just makes you stand on the spot and start to read it. That was a clever design on their behalf. I don’t know why but when I pick a new book I always check the size of the print because when the print is really small it just puts me off reading that book but this time the print was on point and made me want to buy it that little bit more. There goes my judgemental brain again.
Why as people, are we so judgemental about most things?
Now the time came to read the book, once I started to read it I liked the fact that each chapter’s name was incorporated into the chapter. Kind of like a Where’s Wally? Type of thing. Once I got into the flow of the book I couldn’t put the book down, I found myself reading the next page quicker than the last it became so addictive. It’s like I had to know what was lying on the next page. But with every page turn it would shock you that little bit more. If you are like me and enjoy these crime fiction books, next time you’re out and about pick up this book you will love it! I loved it, especially with the amount of twist and turns that’s going to keep you second guessing who the actual guilty person actually is. My guess changed twice before I got it right in the end. I really didn’t want it to end. The only part that I really didn’t like was the last two pages being a huge animal lover myself. But again  I’m giving away no spoilers just be prepared if you are too. Overalll it has to be one of the best book I have read this month. I will definitely be picking up more of Jessica’s books in the future after reading this one!!!

and I’m going to recommend it to anyone that is over the age of 16. As there is some shocking scenes that wouldn’t be suitable for younger readers. Book Review: The Widow

Hey, 

  Welcome back to another one of my blog posts. Well at least I'm back with another post before three months have passed. This one took about a month to get out and I can't wait for you guys to read it. Next the reason why it took me just under a month to read it. The reason is, I just didn't have time in the day to read the book, things were just coming up with a distraction for me. Therefore I was only reading in the night which resulted in me only reading three/four chapters a day. But it's better late than never. Back to you guys, so how are you? Since I last wrote you guys. I'm about to ask you lot some questions, so what have you been doing this last month? I hope everything is going okay at your school/college or even university and if it's not then there will always be someone who you can go and talk to if you have any problems. In the month of November, here in the UK we celebrate something called Guy Fawkes Night. If your not from the UK its a celebration where during the night we launch fireworks off and have rather large bonfires. Plus there is a bit of a back story. I was just wondering if you guys have any similar celebrations in the country you live in? Before I forget Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American readers, I know it was a couple of days ago. But there is always a reason to be thankful. So what are you lot most thankful for? Leave your answers in the comment section below this blog. That's where the price on hard backed books can be found hiding as well. Next comes the reasons why I put the blurb into my blog posts in the first place. I have the blurb in my posts because it is more convenient for my many readers as you can make your opinion on the book on whether you would like to read the book or not. As it's more convenient to you the readers you don't have to spend ages looking online or roaming around the shops looking for the book when you can read it here right now, by just clicking some buttons it's not that hard. Plus if you know someone who would be interested in my posts and they don't know how to work the internet please help them as a little bit of help travels a long way. Or you could simply share the post online with friends and family. It would mean a lot to me to see my posts reaching more countries than usual, I can't stress that enough.   This next part of my blog post is all about the author of each book I review. Where would all of us bookworms be without the many talented authors that are out there. I have read this quote once and it has stuck with me ever since, so I'm about to write it in here and continue to share it with my readers maybe it will stick with you guys. Here it is 'A author is nothing without it's readers.' This next section is all about the author of this book. If you haven't already guessed by how many times I have mentioned the word 'author'. This is just a little something to give back to them as they have worked so hard to create an excellent book. Just think about the author the next time you read a really good book. A lot of work has gone into that book your reading. Like the amount of meetings they have to fit into their busy schedules. They have to go to them as they could be with their management teams and book publishers. The amount of hours they have to sit at a computer screen answering the endless amount of emails and going through the many different edits as possible which can also take up a lot of time. All of this is being done whilst the author has her/his own life to live which is made twice as hard to balance if the author has a young family. Most of their writing is done when they've gone to bed. In the end of it exceeds all expectations the book can become top of the book charts, win many awards and then get turned into a big movie or TV series. That's definitely something to be happy and proud about. It just makes me feel so much better knowing that this piece of information is included because it just wouldn't be a blog post without it. Fiona Barton's debut, The Widow (so the book I'm reviewing), was a Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller and has been published in thirty five countries and optioned for television. Her second novel, The Child, was a Sunday Times bestseller. Fiona was born in Cambridge, Fiona currently lives in South-west of France. Previously, she was a senior writer at the Daily Mail, news editor at the Daily Telegraph and chief reporter at the Mail on Sunday, where she won Reporter of the Year at the British Press Awards. While working as a journalist Fiona reported on many high-profile criminal cases and she developed a fascination with watching those involved, their body language and verbal tics. Fiona interviewed people at the heart of these crimes, from the guilty to their families, as well as those on the periphery and found it was those just outside the spotlight who interested her most... 

  Now then readers, it is the time to give my opinion on this book. The first time I saw this book it was in the book charts and very high at that. Plus I've seen many other book bloggers reading it and they all seemed to like it. So I thought I would give it ago as well. The first thing that caught my eye about this book, was the big bold lettering on the front cover or the title as its formally known. It would grab anyone's attention really. Once I finally got my hands on a copy of the book I read the blurb instantly. The blurb just described a really good book. That's because I just love all the current crime fiction that's out there these days. So with that in mind I just couldn't wait to start reading this one. So when I eventually got to reading it, it got me hooked from the very beginning. I would love to know where the many crime writers out there get their ideas from and maybe they wouldn't mind sharing to inspired young writers and how do they make their books completely different to very other other crime writer. When I continued to read I just couldn't put the book down. From that moment on I just fell in love with this book. The moment where I finished the first couple I realised I was reading the past events. When I went back to the beginning of the chapter I noticed the dates. My little piece of advice to you the reader is to take more notice of them as the story goes past it will definitely make it more understandable to you. I loved everything else about the book the characters, storyline and the way the book was written. Which made the story that more enjoyable. The many twists and turns in this book that will keep you on your toes and, it will keep you guessing until the very end. Don't worry I'm not going to spoil it for you. Put it this way you won't be disappointed at all. I just can't wait to read the other books that she has already written and the many others in the future. Fiona *high five*!!! 

  Overall, I'm going to give this book a 9/10. I'm going to recommend this book to anyone that's 16 and over as they is strong language and a bit of adult content. Book Review: Our Endless Numbered Days

Hey, 

  When you see this post, I'm going to guess your going to say WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? Well my first response would be I'm sorry and secondly, I would say that I just couldn't be bothered to read and just fell out with reading. But now I'm over that and I've finished this book that I started nearly a month ago. Now I'm ready to write my next review. There is another small reason on why this book review took a little longer to come out. This book just didn't grip me, but more of that in my opinion part which can be found towards the end of each review I write. That's enough about me, how are you lovely readers doing. First of all, how are you? As its been over a month and a half since we last had contact. So much would of happened over that amount of time. Use my comment box as a place to ramble even if you wanted to vent about that one person just a little. Now that school/college has gone back, how is it going? Like I said before if you need to vent about that topic just go for it the comment box is always open. The big holiday that is at the end of October, which is my favourite month. Halloween is what I'm talking about. I know it's a pretty big thing in USA and it is getting bigger here in the UK. So, how did you celebrate it? What did you dress up as this year? Last question, Do you celebrate Halloween in your country? If you don't, do you celebrate anything that's equivalent to Halloween? You know where to leave those answers in the same place as always! I know I haven't been here for over a month but this part is going to be the same. If you are now a frequent reader around here, I would love to receive some of your feedback. 'Claire Fuller was born in Oxfordshire, England in 1967. She gained a degree in Sculpture from Winchester School of Art, but went on to have a long career in marketing and didn't start writing until she was forty. She has an MA in Creative Critical Writing from the University of Winchester and lives in Hampshire with her husband and two children. Our Endless Numbered Days ( the book I'm reviewing now) is her first novel, her second novel came out earlier this year and her third novel is expected to be released early 2019. So keep your eyes open for it. 

  The time has come to deliver my opinion part of my blog post like I mentioned earlier on in my blog post. Let's start from the beginning, I've heard many things about this book and heard many different authors rave about this book. So I went ahead and got the book. Once I read the back the back of the book (blurb) it's not like anything else I've read. I'm more into my crime and suspense novels. But I thought let's give it ago maybe it will change my opinion on these sort of books. So I began the book at a steady pace and enjoyed the beginning and the two or three chapters after that. But that was it for me because the book went down hill from there for me. It just didn't grip me and leave me wanting more. Like I said before I like fast pace novels which it lacked. So at every moment I was finding myself putting the book down more than picking it up. When I did read it I was yawning more and feeling tired, just a more polite way of saying it was boring there was never a rush of excitement. I think that was why I fell out with as I was still on this book as I couldn't be bothered to read it. I would like to mention the small bits about this book that were good, the book was clearly structured between the past and the present and the ending is where the book eventually picked back up, because I can never leave a book unfinished. You could say it was more of a cliff hanger ending, don't worry I'm not going to give away any spoilers. But anyway this is my opinion, so don't let this opinion stop you from reading this book. I don't know if I'm going to read any of her other books as I don't think they are for me. 

  Overall, I'm going to give this book a 6/10. I'm not going to recommend this book at this time. But if you love it please feel free to spread the word. Book Review: All that she can see

Hey, 

  Well it is that time again. Time for another book review from me. I know I'm lacking in the reviews lately. I know I keep mentioning that I'm going to produce more reviews and I keep going back on that promise. This review took so long to come out because of time and health. Health should come first even though a book is involved, as I was recovering from being ill the days were passing way too quickly. Enough about me how are you lot or should I say my readers. I hope you enjoyed my little input of the many different ways I said welcome in my last book review which was on Ann Morgan's Beside Myself. Please let me know what you thought about it. You know what to do...leave a couple of sentences in the comment box below, I may add some more in the future. The last time I spoke ( well wrote) to you readers there was a couple of weeks left of the summer holidays. It is now September and people have gone back to school. Here in the UK before people go back to school there are results from exams and I hope everyone was happy with their results and, got into the universities/colleges of their choice. Here comes the bit where I mention the same as all my other blog posts. As a person who posts blog posts not calling myself a blogger just yet. Please could you write a couple of sentences of feedback in the comment section. Therefore I can improve my posts with that feedback. Which will make it better viewing for my readers.   Next up in my blog post is a section all about the author of the book. That's if you didn't know the structure of my blog posts. Where would we be without the many authors in the world and as Carrie has written this in her acknowledgements, I'm going to write it here, a author is nothing without readers. This is just a little something to have dedicated to them as authors do so much for us. Just think about the author the next time you read a really good book. A lot of work has gone into that book your reading. Like the amount of meetings they have wth their book management teams and book publishers. The amount of phone calls they will have to take and the many hours they will have to spend sitting at a computer screen answering the endless amounts of emails. All of this is being done whilst they have their own lives to live. In the end of it exceeds all expectations the book can become top of the book charts, win many awards and then get turned into a big movie. That's definitely something to be happy and proud about. So without any further delay here is a bit more information on Carrie Hope Fletcher: 

Carrie is an actress, singer, vlogger and, thanks to her popular YouTube channel ItsWayPastMyBedTime, *honorary big sister* to over a million young people around the world. Carrie's first book, All I Know Now, was a number one Sunday Times bestseller and her debut novel. On the Other Side, also went straight to number one in its first week on sale. Carrie played the role of Eponine in Les Misérables at the Queen's Theatre in London's West End for almost three years and received the 2014 WhatsOnStage Award for Best Takeover in a Role. In 2016 she played Truly Scrumptious in a six month run of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and she is currently starring as Wednesday Addams in the national UK theatre tour of The Addams Family musical. Carrie lives just outside of London with numerous fictional friends that she keeps on bookshelves just in case. 

  The time has come to deliver my opinion on the book. Firstly I think that Carrie is a very talented person. I have read all of her previous books, so I had big expectations for this one and it certainly did not disappoint. One question Carrie where do you get your ideas from? Right back to my opinion from the moment I started to read the book it definitely exceeded the expectations I had before I started to read it. I loved this book I just couldn't put the book down I've never read anything like this before. This book had my full attention always. The only time I put the book down was when I had to go to bed. I also love how Carrie writes her books with many backgrounds and with such diversity. Bringing more books up to the 21st century quality. I have to much love for this book so much so I loved the many characters and that everybody makes a mistake sometime. I also wonder how long it took Carrie to come up with the many desserts in the book, those parts made me feel really hungry. I had my eyes glued to each page trying to take in as much in as I could. So I could get to the next page quicker. There were little bits that I wasn't expecting especially towards the end, those were a surprise. Don't worry I'm not going to spoil it for you. I have nothing bad to say about this book. SO GO READ IT!! Carrie I loved it, please can we have a sequel to this book and I can't wait to see what ideas you come up with in the future and I can't wait to read them.

  Overall I'm going to give this book a 10/10. I fully recommend this book to anyone that is 16 and over. Book Review: Beside Myself

Hey, 

  Welcome back! I know many of my readers come from all over the world so once I knew that, I thought why not add some multicultural things into my post. This next bit is going to see how many different languages I can get into a blog post. It's only going to be one word and that word is 'welcome'. Here we go, but please don't blame me if they are wrong. Blame the translation app I used. HA! So for my French readers, Bienvenue for my German readers, Willkommen for my Spanish readers, Bienvenido and for my many readers who understand Dutch here is welcome in your language, Welkom. Before you start to ask where have my blog posts been. I have been really busy throughout the many weeks I have been reading this book. In fact it's been a little less than a month since I last wrote about a book. I really want that to change. I can't believe there is only a couple of weeks left until schools go back. So now is the time to tell me what you've been doing on your summer holidays so far. Some of you might be slightly older and therefore you might not even be having a summer holiday at the moment, so what are you doing at the moment. For people who didn't read my last blog post. The summer holidays is a long break away from school. You can leave what sort of adventures you've been on in the comment box below. Like all of blog posts I ask my many readers if they could give me some sort of feedback so I can then improve my blog posts and make them a much better quality for your reading pleasure. It doesn't have to be a long paragraph just a couple of sentences will do please leave your feedback in the comment section below. It would totally mean a lot if you could. You don't have to read anymore of my rambling so without further delay, the name of the book that I will be reviewing in this review is called Beside Myself and it was written by Ann Morgan.

  This next part of my post is all about the blurb from the book. The term blurb is just another fancy way of saying the short paragraph that sums up the book perfectly. Most people use the term blurb but it can also be described as a synopsis. The blurb can be found on the back cover but if you are reading a hard backed book you can normally find the blurb on the inside of the front cover on the sleeve or if you want the proper term, the dust jacket. Next is my reasoning on why I have the blurb in my posts in the first place. I have the blurb in my blog posts because it's definitely more convenient for you readers as you can make up your mind/opinion on whether you like the sound of this particular book. As it is more convenient you don't have to spend ages looking online or roaming around in shops looking for the book, when you can read it right here right now. With this book the blurb is rather short, so what I'm going to do is put the blurb from the book first and then put another blurb I found with more information after it. So I'm not going to ramble anymore so here are both blurbs: 

" Helen and Ellie are identical twins- like two peas in a pod, everyone says. The girls know this isn't true, though; Helen is the leader and Ellie is the follower. Until they decide to swap places: just for fun, and just for one day. But Ellie refuses to swap back... And so begins a nightmare from which Helen cannot wake up" 

The other blurb I found has the same beginning but it has a different ending. The first line of the second blurb is the same as the last line of the first blurb so it   is from there I start: 

"But Ellie refuses to swap back...

And so begins a nightmare from which Helen cannot wake up. Her toys, her clothes, her friends, her glowing record at school, the favor of her mother and the future she had dreamed of are all gone to a sister who blossoms in the approval that used to belong to Helen. And as years pass, she loses not only her memory of that day but also herself- until eventually only 'Smudge' is left. Twenty -five years later, Smudge receives a call from out of the blue. It threatens to pull her back into her sister's dangerous orbit, but if this is her only chance to face the past, - how can she resist? 

There we have it, at the end of this section there will be a picture of the blurb that's if you take pictures in better. Also if you've already finished the book please don't give away any spoilers to those who haven't finished it yet. 

  The next part of my blog post is all about the author of the book for those people who don't know the structure of my posts. Where would we be without the many authors in the world. Most people just think of them as being just another ordinary person. But they are definitely more than that. Just think about them when your reading a really good book. A lot of work goes into writing a book. Like the amount of meetings they have with their book management teams and the book publishers. The amount of phone calls they will have to take and the many hours they will have to spend sitting at a computer screen answering the endless amounts of emails. All of this is being done whilst they have their own lives to live so they don't see much of their families when they are writing. In the end though just think about how well that book could do. The book will be something to be proud of as they can show it off to everybody they know and it will receive the well deserved praise it needs. If the book becomes very successful it can become a movie and go on to win the author many awards. That's definitely something to smile about. That is just a little something to have dedicated to them. Here we go here is the information on this author: 

Ann Morgan is a freelance writer and editor based in London. Ann's writing has appeared in the Guardian, the independent, the financial times, the Australian and the New Internationalist, and she was a finalist in the Guardian's international Development Journalism Competition 2010. She has also sub- edited for publications including Tatler and Vanity Fair. Following that success of her project to read a book from every country in 2012, Ann continues to blog about international literature at ayearofreadingtheworld.com Her first book, Reading the world: Confessions of Literary Explorer, was published to great critical acclaim in 2015. Beside Myself (so this book I'm reviewing) is her first novel. 

  It is now time to start my opinion part of this blog post. I'm going to emit this small little side note right here right now. I've been reading this book for just under four weeks and I'm going to explain why in this section. With that out of the way onto the book itself. Firstly the cover of the book, whoever designed the cover definitely needs a round of applause. When I first spotted the cover it sent a shiver down my spine it had that eerie feeling about it the way the rain droplets are cascading down the window it's like something out of a horror film I don't know why it was just a feeling I had. So with that thought in my mind I couldn't wait to start reading this book. Once I started to read this book the first thing that greets you is a prologue. Personally I'm not a massive fan of a prologue but in this instant it was the perfect beginning to start a new adventure with. When I started to read the following chapters I was gripped to very core. I couldn't take my eyes off the page they were glued to the pages. So therefore I couldn't put the book down. I loved how each chapter changed between the past and the present every time you got to a new chapter, with every new chapter a little more of the story got uncovered. There were many twists and turns som I want expecting and others I were expecting. It just made the book that bit more excitable. Now the reason why it took me so long to read it, the size of the type in the book. If I spent ages looking at the book it started to give me headaches so that's the reason. If I could change a couple of things about the book it would be the size of the type, why the name Smudge maybe it's already in the book and I just missed it also some interaction between the twins and their brother. But overall I throughly enjoyed this book. Ann if this is your first novel I can't wait to see and read what comes out in the future! 

  So I'm going to give this book a 8/10 and I'm going to recommend this book to anyone who loves a great book and is over the age of 16. Book Review: Hidden Bodies

Hey, 

  How is everyone feeling? I know once again that this post is a little late compared to the other posts that I've posted. I don't have a schedule, but I like to keep them coming at a regular pace. But recently I haven't been sticking to that method of posting and that's going to change. With that bit of rambling out of the way. Summer holidays have officially arrived here in the UK. For people who don't understand and don't live in the UK. Summer holidays mean that pretty much every school in the UK have a break of at least six weeks. So I can finally ask people 

What are you going to be doing on your summer holidays? 

I hope some of the answers to that particular question involves books that they will be reading whilst they are relaxing or if it's a rainy day. What I would like to know, what are the summer holidays like in different countries. So how many weeks you have off from school, what time of year is your summer holiday. If you wish to share your answers, you can leave them in the comment box. The box can be found at the bottom of each blog post. I know what I'm about to write about next is mostly in every post that I post. This blog post is all about the book, Hidden Bodies and this book was written by Caroline Kepnes.

   For all of you who don't know what happens next, I'm about to tell you. This part of my blog post is all about the blurb from the book. The blurb perfectly sums up the book. You can find most blurbs on the back cover of each book normally. But in case your buying a hard-backed covered book you can find the blurb on the inside of the front cover or to use the correct term the dust jacket. Sometimes the blurb can also be defined by different terms for an example a synopsis and some people just use the simple term a description. But for you readers I'm about to give you the proper definition of the word 'blurb'. The term blurb is a short description of a book, film or other product write for promotional purposes. Now here comes the reason why I put the blurbs from the books that I review into my posts. The blurb is in my post  because it makes it more convenient for you readers because without it you would hardly know anything about the book and you would have less of an opinion. Going back to the convenient thing, by having the blurb here you can make your choice right now on whether you would like to read the actual book. Otherwise you would have to roam the Internet or go out to the shops and by then you might of decided you don't really like the book. It just takes up a lot of your time. So without any further delay or my rambling here is the blurb: 

"Joe came to Los Angeles to start over, to forget about what happened in New York. But in a darkened room in Soho House everything suddenly changed. She is like no one Joe's ever met. But she doesn't know about his past, and never can. The problem is, hidden bodies don't always stay that way. The next time I'm going to write a blog post, I'm going to count the amount of times I write or mention the word 'blurb' and see what my results are. HA! Now for the readers who like to look at pictures and prefer to take things in by looking at pictures there will be a picture of the blurb at the bottom of this paragraph. Also many of might of already finished reading this book as it has been out a while. So please don't give away any spoilers to those who haven't. 

   This next part of my blog post is all about the author of each book I review. I like to put something about each author into my post because it feels like I'm giving something back to them. Ask some people what they think about authors, they think about them as being ordinary like any other person who writes books in their spare time. But their not they are more than that. Next time your reading a really good book, just think about how many hours the authors have sat at a computer screen locked away from their loved ones or even their pets. They are losing precious moments with them, because they are trying to provide us with something so we can enjoy our hobby. Just think about the endless amount of editing, meetings, emails and phone calls they have had to go through just to provide us with their books. That's not all as they have to promote their book to get the best possible outcome for their  book. Once that has been done they have something they can hold onto something that will be around forever. They can show it off to everyone and that's definitely something to be proud of. Plus if their book has done really well it can then go on and win them many awards, if they are really successful with their book it can eventually be made into a movie. I'm not about to ramble on anymore so without further delay here is some information on Caroline Kepnes (if your thinking of not reading this part, you definitely should): 

Caroline Kepnes holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Civilization from Brown University. Her first novel, You, was named a suspense Magazine Best Debut of the Year. It was optioned by Showtime and has been translated into seventeen languages. It was also shortlisted for the CWA New Blood Award 2015.    Before I start on my opinion part of my blog post. I'm just going to post a little side note here before you read this book go and read the book 'You' by the same author because this book is the follow on from that book. Okay, back to my opinion. I've had this book marked in my calendar when it was due out a couple of months back because I enjoyed the last book so much. I must admit that I finished the book a couple of weeks ago. I just needed a day or two to progress and see how I felt about the book. Once I started to read this book I was gripped from the first chapter. In which case I hardly put the book down well apart from when I had to sleep and do other tasks that involved being away from the book. Just a little warning before you progress with the book there is a lot of bad language and strong described scenes. The more I read the more I got hooked which resulted in me reading this book quicker as I needed to know what was going to happen to the characters. With every page turned the closer I got to finding out the fate of the characters. Sometimes I wish I hadn't read that fast because I was slightly gutted when it was over. Caroline wrote the book in a superb matter and kept us, the readers guessing until the very end especially about what was going to happen to Joe. I loved the suspense and the many twists and turns it took to get to the end of the book. I really wasn't expecting the fate of some of the characters. Don't worry I'm not going to spoil the ending or the fate. Overall, I throughly enjoyed the book and I'm sure others will too. Caroline *High Five* for writing a awesome book and I can't wait to see what you come up with in the future and I can't wait to read it. 

   I'm going to give this book a 9/10 plus I'm going to totally recommend this book to anyone over the age of 18 and is a crime fiction enthusiast. Book Review: Contagion

  So let me start this blog post by apologising for the lack of posts over the last couple of months. I'm not going to blame it on a lot of things, just a couple instead. HA!! The first thing, I've been really busy therefore writing a blog post has been going further down my 'to do list' every time I get something new to do. The other thing is, I haven't been well recently I thought my health is more important than writing these posts. But I'm all better now. YAY!! Anyway, How are all of you? I heard all exams have now finished, How did you think they all went? If you celebrate the end of your exams with a ball/prom. Have a really good night because if you don't then you might be wishing you could do it all over again. I know I say this every time I write a blog post. So here we go again PLEASE can you at least write a couple of sentences of your feedback. It would be very much appreciated because it then means that I can improve my blog posts for your reading therefore the quality will also be so much better than before. But some authors also call their blurb the synopsis which means exactly the same thing. Here comes the reason why I put the blurb into my blog posts. I put the blurb into my posts because like I said earlier in this section it describes the book perfectly. Also by putting the blurb here right now you can make your judgement on whether or not you would like to read this book. By putting the blurb into my posts its saves you from going out and trying find the book and then reading the blurb when you can do it right now. It's okay to be a bit lazy from time to time. So without further delay here is that blurb:

  This next part is all about the author of each book I review. This section is all Teri Terry. I feel so much better having something dedicated to each author I have a review on. Especially when the authors have spent so many hours away from their families, friends and pets by being shut away in an office answering endless amounts of emails and phone calls they would of had to answer. Just think about how many meetings they have to do with their book publishing teams just to form a book. That's not all, they then have to promote their books like there is no tomorrow as they want the best possible outcome for their book. But in the end it will be definitely worth all that time away from their families as they have something they can show off to everybody and for the many years to come. The book itself can then go on to win the author many awards. That can progress into a movie making the book very successful. That's definitely something to be proud of. I'm not going to ramble on anymore so here is a bit about the author you might like to read it or not it's up to you: 

Teri Terry is the bestselling author of the Slated Trilogy and the novels Mind Games, Dangerous Games and Book of Lies. Her books have been translated into twelve languages and won prizes at home and abroad. Teri hates broccoli, loves cats, and has finally worked out what she wants to do when she grows up. 

  This next part of my post is all about my opinion of the book. First of all if you haven't read any other of Teri Terry's books go and do that first because they are all really amazing books but if I were you I would start with the Slated Trilogy. Now where do I begin with this book. I mean I've had the date of release for this book in my calendar for ages as I had big expectations as I have read all of her other books and I loved everyone of them. Once I started to read this book it didn't instantly grab my attention like all the others. So I did some re-reading, by doing that I took it in all the more. I was now ready to begin my next adventure. I couldn't put the book down from that moment onwards. My eyes couldn't go as fast as I wanted them to go. I wanted to get to the next page as quick as possible so I could carry on the story. I loved how the book was divided into different sections which made it more easier for the reader to understand the storyline and to keep track on what the characters were up to in each part. Speaking of the characters they were written really well and as the story progressed with each turn of the page they became more loveable each time, I hope they get a happy ending they deserve. Before i forget to tell you this book is also a trilogy series. So you won't be able to know their fate until another two books time. This book had me hooked completely. Also this book was packed to the brim with suspense to keep you on your toes and you don't get the answers to that suspense in this book. I loved reading this book so much so, people were telling me that you will be sorry once it is over. But I never listen and I a little regret once I had finished it. Plus if you love books with cliffhangers this is the book for you! Overall, I have nothing really bad to say about this book and Teri I can't wait for the next instalment of this series and for the many more you are about to write. *HIGH FIVE* Teri Terry!!

Book Review: Little Black Lies

  Here we are again. A brand new month so here comes the brand new reviews. This review is the first one of this month. I know it's already half way through the month and only know this is going up. My explanation about why that is will be delivered later on in the opinion part of my blog post. It's been a while since I last wrote to all you readers. So here is a few questions that you may want to answer, you can leave your answers in the comment section that be found at the end of each blog post you visit. Here are some questions. How are you? How is your week going? If your still in college or school How are your exams going? Everybody needs to get something off their chest sometimes. You can use the comment section to vent if you wish. I know I haven't written a blog post in a long time. But this part will always be the same, please any reader reading this part of my introduction. Could you please give me some sort of feedback on my blog posts. It can be a couple of sentences long. Explaining if you can read this blog post in your preferred language, whether you prefer long or short blog posts or if you want more pictures in these blog posts. So without further delay the name of the book that I'm reviewing this time is Little Black Lies and it was written by Sharon Bolton.

Now here comes the part, why I put the blurb into these reviews. I put the blurb into my reviews because it gives you the reader a better understanding of the book. It also saves you from going out and trying to find the book you can read the blurb here and you can instantly make a decision on the book right now although that can be seen as a good and bad point. It is also how most people get addicted to many books as they read the blurb first and then share it with their families and friends it's like a small triangle being completed each time. So this is the blurb from the book of this book:

  This next part of this blog post is all about the author of each book. In this case it is all about Sharon Bolton who wrote this book. I feel so much better having something dedicated to them as authors do so much for us as they provide us with their books so we can start a new hobby and start a different adventure each time you start a new read. Just think about the amount of hours they sit away from their families/friends or pets looking at a computer screen. Can you imagine the amount of phone calls and emails they would of had to answer and the endless amount of meetings they would had to go to with their book publisher teams. But in the end it will be definitely be worth it as they have something they can show off to everybody and the many years too come. It can also win them many awards and it can be turned into a movie. It's something to definitely be proud of. I will not ramble any more so here I am introducing to you Sharon Bolton. Sharon Bolton is the author of the bestselling Lacey Flint series. Little Black Lies ( the book I'm reviewing) is her first stand - alone thriller since Blood Harvest, which was shortlisted for the CWA Gold Dagger for Crime Novel of the Year. In 2014 she was awarded the CWA Dagger in the Library for her whole body of work. Sharon lives near Oxford with her husband and son.   The time has come for me to deliver my opinion or verdict as some people call it. When I first read the blurb it instantly grabbed my attention it made me want to read the first chapter there and then whilst I was still in the shop. I heard many good things about Sharon Bolton's books, so I thought why not give them a try. When I opened the front cover I wasn't expecting a map showing where each character lived. It definitely made things more clearer. I knew that the Falkland Islands actually existed because I knew also about the war that happened there. When I learnt this book was based in the Falkland Islands I thought it was going to be rammed with lots of history. Which is totally not my thing, but that wasn't the case at all. It took me a little more time to get totally gripped by the story. The book didn't have my full attention until I was at least four or five chapters in. It was at this point I could hardly put the book down. Only when I needed to for an example when I needed to sleep. I was getting more and more into their world with each page turn I made. I loved the twists and turns this book has it keeps you on your toes. Those twists and turns will definitely keep you reading til the end of the book. I also thought the way Sharon combined the characters and the actual history that happened back in the day was cleverly written and not to over powering to the reader. So the reason why this review took a long time to arrive is that the book needed a lot of attention and couldn't be rushed as you would miss the important information. The story wouldn't of made sense then so you would of ended up re reading chapters. Overall the book was an amazing read and I totally not expecting the ending the way it turned out to be it even made me gasp right at the end. Sharon I loved the book and I can't wait to see what she comes up with in the future. 

  I would like to give this book a 8/10, I'm also going to recommend this book to any older reader that loves a really good crime fiction and likes a bit of history. A small warning there is some strong language in the book. Book Review: GIRLHOOD

Hey, 

  It's me I'm back again. Told you lot to expect more reviews from me. I'm guessing you were not expecting another one this fast. Well when I get into a really good book it can take me a matter of days to finish it. Well three days to be exact. But that was also down to the fact that we have been receiving some glorious weather which can put me into one of the best moods ever. Therefore I read faster as I'm in the best mood ever. Which results in you lot the readers, getting more reviews. I know I'm saying this every time but no one is helping me that much. Please could you readers give me some sort of feedback in the comment section below. It doesn't have to be really long, it can be a couple of sentences just about the blog. For an example I don't know whether my over seas readers can read my blog posts in their preferred language, tell me if it all makes sense. I would really appreciate it. I hope you enjoy reading this blog post just as much as I enjoyed reading this book my opinion about the book will come towards the end of this blog post. So this review, if you haven't already read the title it's all about Girlhood and it was written by Cat Clarke.

  The next part of this blog post is all about the blurb on the book. When I tell most people about the blurb, they stop me speaking and ask me what exactly is the blurb. So I will define it in another way for you. The blurb is a small passage that describes the book really well. You can find the blurb at the back cover or if your reading a hat covered book it can normally be found on the inside of the front cover. Now here comes the reason why I put the blurb into my blog posts. Like I said earlier the blurb describe it perfectly. Therefore you lot, the readers can make your judgement about the book here and now. Otherwise you would have to go out and find the book and then read it that's if you don't have Internet access. I can save you from all of that right here. It's how most people get addicted to many books is by reading the blurb. With this book there isn't much of a blurb on the book itself. So what I'm going to do is put the one from the book and one from the Internet into this blog post. So here we go this is the blurb from the book:

  The next part of my blog post is all about the author of each book I review. I like to put something about each author into my reviews because it makes me feel good and at least I have something dedicated to them. Next time you read a book just think about the author who has spent many hours locked away in an office or shutting off from their families or pets. Just think about the endless amount of emails, phone calls and meetings with their management teams/publishers. But in the end of it, it will be all worth it as they have something to be proud of and it is something they can show off to everybody for many years to come. Just think about it if authors decided hey didn't want to spend all that time away that would result in no books being made which won't make us bookworms around the world not very happy. So without further delay here I am introducing to you Cat Clarke. Cat Clarke is the bestselling award - winning and highly acclaimed author of six YA novels. Cat Clarke was born in Zambia and brought up in Edinburgh and Yorkshire, which has given her an accent that tends to confuse people. She lives in Edinburgh with her partner, two ninja cats and two decidedly non-ninja cocker spaniels. Right into my next bit. 

  Now the time has come to deliver my verdict as some people might call it. Others might call it the opinion part of my blog post. So where do I start... I shall start at the beginning it's a very good place to start. I shall stop there with the sound of music quotes. HA! Anyway I love all of Cat Clarkes previous books I have read pretty much all of them. So I have had this date for release of this book in my diary for a long time. I was so excited when it finally got released I couldn't wait to get my hands on it especially as I know what her other books are like. From the moment I picked up this book I was gripped. I couldn't put the book down, I completely blocked out my family for the last three days and the weather also helped as I was able to sit outside and relax in the sunshine and enjoy a really good book. This book was jammed packed with many things I was not expecting, like the many twists. Don't worry I won't give it away for you, you will have to read it for yourself to find out about them. I loved everything about this book so I don't have any bad things to say about this book. I also loved the way she wrote about the characters, it's good to have a bit of diversity in books as there's not a lot of that about. It was amazing storyline. But once I got to the end I was sad to see that it was over. I wanted it to be twice as long than it really was. This book even made me laugh out loud and even shed a tear all based on their friendship. I hope there is another book to follow on from this one following the group of girls. Cat Clarke bring on the next book I can't wait to see what you write in the future and I can't wait to read it *high five* Cat it was truly a awesome book!! 

  I would like to give this book a solid 10/10. I'm going to recommend this book to anyone who is a teen fiction lover and is over the age of 16. Book Review: Disclaimer

Hey, 

  I'm back again with another review. I know most people struggle with the introductions. They find it quite hard to come up with something different each time. It's totally the same for me. I struggle to come up with different content each time I start a new blog, sometimes I just ramble my way through it, okay most of the time. In this review I will give you a run down of this book and my opinion will come at the end. That's if you stick around that long or you may just skip the blog post and head straight to the opinion part at the end. It has been a very sad week where I'm from. My thoughts go to all the families who have lost their loved ones this week. Again in this review I hope readers of these blogs would give me some sort of feedback, without sounding too repetitive for my readers it will be very much needed as I could improve my posts with that feedback. I will tell you one thing that I'm loving this week is the really sunny weather we are having, so expect more reviews coming soon. I hope you enjoy this blog as much as I enjoyed reading this book. The blurb is a small passage describing each book. Now it's time to tell you why I put the blurb into my blog posts. I put the blurb into posts because it describes the book perfectly and the reader can then understand the book better. It saves you from going out and trying to find the book when you can just read the blurb here right now. You can make your judgment about the book right now. It is how most people buy their books is by reading the blurb. It's also how I get addicted/hooked to any book.   This next part of my review is all about the author of each book I read. This time it is all about Renee Knight. By writing about the author in each of my reviews it helps me to have something dedicated to the author. Next time your reading a book, think about the author. Just think about how many hours they lock themselves away in an office away from their loved ones. Just think about the amount of phone calls they have taken, also just think about how many edits, meetings and emails they have answered. But in the end it is definitely all worth it as they have a physical object that they can show and hold for the rest of their lives. They have something to be proud of. Can you imagine if they decided they didn't want to spend all that time away from their families. All of their talent would be wasted and there won't be any amazing books to read. Which would not make us bookworms that happy at all. So here we go, introducing Renee Knight. Renee Knight worked for the BBC directing arts documentaries before beginning her writing career. She has written television and film scripts for the BBC, Channel Four and Capital Films. Her first screenplay, Morher's Day, made it onto the 2010 Brit List of best unproduced scripts of that year. Her first novel, Disclaimer (this book), was published by Transworld in 2015. Renée lives in London UK with her husband and their two children. 

  The time has come to deliver my opinion on this book. New book, clean slate in other words I was keeping my mind open and not about to compare it to any other book I had previously read. When I first saw this book I picked it instantly and read the back to discover that the book was going to be like the film Inception. But instead it was a book inside a book not a dream inside a dream. Once I finally got to reading the book it gripped me and I was completely hooked about the many secrets that was hiding inside this book. I found myself not putting the book and shutting out what was happening around me. I totally lost all track of time while I was reading this book. But there was a this one time where I had to stop reading for a couple of days as things for pretty busy and I didn't have enough time in the day to read as often as I've would of wanted. When I returned to the book, the book wasn't the same it was like it has lost its spark. I got confused more easily I ended up re reading many sentences. Also I couldn't keep track of whose part I was reading so I had to keep on referring to the beginning of each chapter and sometimes that didn't help. So maybe a thing to improve on, make it more clearer to the reader whose point of view the chapter belongs to. So maybe add a small subtitle at the beginning of them. But I stick the book out as I can never leave a book unfinished especially a crime fiction book. So as soon as the plot thickend I got back into the story and it revealed the many twists and turns that I was not expecting and the book needed them so much. It definitely made me turn the pages so much faster resulting in me me finishing the book within the next three days. Like I said earlier I wasn't expecting the twists and turns so the ending of this book totally blew my mind, don't worry I won't give it away. But wow, I wasn't expecting it too be turned around just like that. I also wish that the last chapter was a tiny bit different. In the end it was a crime fiction book that I throughly enjoyed reading. But if you are a older reader and thinking about sharing it make sure you share it with more older members of your family as there are many strong scenes in the book and very strong language within the book. Renee this book was a awesome book and I can't wait to see and read what you come up with next!!
