Book Review: On The Other Side

Hey,
To all my frequent readers. Welcome to my fellow new readers. This is my book blog, where I like to review the many books that I have read. This is where I like to dive into the book a little deeper. The book that I'm reviewing this time if you can't already tell by the title of this blog post is on the other side by Carrie Hope Fletcher.
Before I dive to deep into sharing this story. I like to give my readers a bit more information about the author, Carrie Fletcher. So here we go, Carrie Fletcher is an actress, singer and vlogger. Carrie's YouTube channel is called ItsWayPastMyBedTime if any of you would like to watch her videos. Therefore you can get to know her a bit better. Carrie is currently starring in the UK tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as Truly Scrumptious. Carrie Fletcher is the sister of the much-loved Tom Fletcher and sister-in-law to the also fab, Giovanna Fletcher. Carrie lives just outside London UK with numerous fictional friends that she keeps on bookshelves just in case.
I'm sure most of you are used to the normal structure of my book blog posts. But just in case you don't, or its your first time reading these blog posts (welcome!)  this is where I like to tell the reader, reading this post. A bit of the background story. Who is ready for this part? Let me make you start this great adventure. " Evie Snow is eighty-two when she quietly passes away in her sleep." "Evie reaches the door of her own private heaven and the door won't open." "Evie's soul must be light enough to pass through so she she needs to get rid of whatever is making her soul heavy." "For Evie, this means unburdening herself of the three secrets which have weighed her down for over fifty years." I'm afraid that is all your getting because nobody likes a person who spoils everything. It's just not that fun and it would mean less of a adventure.
In all reviews, whether they be a long or short review you have to give your opinion on the thing that you are reviewing. It's a fact! So here is my overall opinion of this exceptional book. My first thought was how am I going to like this type of book as I haven't read anything like this before. But soon as I got more into the book, I stopped thinking about that initial thought. As I was enjoying it so much. I loved how Carrie give each character a unique name. I then found myself asking how did she come up with all these different names. That made you smile each time you saw one. I couldn't stop reading this book in other words I couldn't put it down as the end of each page got me hooked as the book went on. I didn't want it to end. I felt so much emotion towards  the romantic parts the loved and even towards the sad/happy parts. I admit I had a little cry. I hope my life turns out like theirs. Happy families (even if they are are fictional characters) this is Carrie's first fiction novel as this one was so good, I can't wait for the others. Even if I do do have a lot questions about this one. Congratulations Carrie for this amazing book!!
As you can already guess from the amount of times I've said this book has been amazing. There is no doubt that this  book deserves 10/10. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good fiction book. Also check out Carries other book All I Know Now. Book Review: Flash And Bones

Hey,
Before you start, I know this blog post has been a long time coming. Anyway it has been a while. Back to the blog post. This post is another famous Kathy Reichs book. The book is called Flash And Bones and this is the review lol about that book.
If you have read my other blog posts on Kathy Reichs books then you should know what is going to happen next and you could skip this part. But if your new to a Kathy Reichs book blog post. This is the part where I introduce the author Kathy Reichs to you the reader. So here we go, Kathy Reichs has many books to her name including Bones of the Lost, Bones are Forever and 206 Bones. Kathy Reichs is one of only eighty-two forensic anthropologists ever certified by the American Board of Forensic Anthropology. Kathy Reichs is a native of Chicago, where she received her Ph.D Kathy now spends most of her time between Charlotte, Northern Carolina and Montreal, Québec.
So you may start to ask tell us some more about the book. This is the part of my blog post where I go into more detail. Here is a small part from the blurb, the bit from the back of the book for any of you who don't know what the word blurb means. Let me begin "FLASH! illuminated by lightning, a lifeless human hand seems to reach from a barrel of asphalt beside the Charlotte racetrack. But before she can carry out a proper examination, the FBI mysteriously confiscate and destroy the body. It's a dead end." That is all you are getting because I don't want to spoil the story for you mega crime fiction readers out there.
This book is another example of why I love Kathy Reichs right now. At the beginning I wasn't too sure, but once I got into the book further and read more chapters. I realised how much I was enjoying the book as I was reading more than a few chapters a night. As I got to the end of each page, I wondered what was going to happen on the next page/chapter and I needed to know as quickly as possible. I loved it so much that I couldn't put it down. But once I finished the book I was sad to see that it had been finished. Even if Kathy Reichs puts her use of the Forensic language into her books. Kathy does her best to explain the term she used every time. Kathy also puts the title into the book every time. It fits into the sentences perfectly each time. Another job well done Kathy Reichs.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is a major crime fiction fan. I would totally give this book a solid 10/10 as I did not expect the ending that the book had. If you would like to read my other book blog posts, you can find them at laurennpullennreviews.blogspot.com Thank you for reading the post. If you wish to leave a comment/question. Book Review: Another Day

Hey,
Here we are again readers. Welcome if you are new here altogether. Just some background information for you. I write these book blog posts because I have a big passion to read as many books as I can. It's my favourite hobby. So I review them so I can share them with my audience members and get them reading too. This book blog post is all about David Levithan's Another Day.
Here is some information on the author David Levithan. That's if you want to know and read it ( if you don't you can skip this bit) David Levithan is a young adult fiction author and editor. He has many books to his name including Every Day, How They Meet and Other Stories and the name of his first book was Boy Meets Boy. Some of his books have been made into movies. David Levithan was born September 7, 1972. He lives in the United States of America. To finish off this bit of information here is a award that he has won Lambda Literary Award for Children's/Young Adult.
Many people like to read the back of a book before they buy or download it. Just to get the juices flowing here is a bit from the blurb, also known as the back of the book. "Every Day is the same for Rhiannon. She has convinced herself that she deserves her distant, moody boyfriend Justin. Then, out of the blue, they share a perfect day together. And that's when a stranger tells her that the Justin she spent that time with... wasn't Justin at all." There's a few sentences, I don't want to give anything big away. That just spoils it.
Dear readers this is my opinion of this book. It was the cover of the book that got my attention first. I'd never seen a cover like it before so I took a closer look and I read the last three sentences of the blurb. I knew then I had to get it. At first I didn't understand and connect with the first few chapters. But I kept on reading it and it started to grow on me. I found myself not putting the book down and needing to finish the chapter I was on. Sometimes I felt like I was in the book actually following their day to day lives. The ending has left me in great suspense as I want to know what is going to happen next. Great book, well done David Levithan.
I would totally recommend this book to all the young adult readers out there. Even the older readers who do love a good YA book. I would give this book a 7/10 it was good but could improve in some areas.
