Book Review: The Cinderella Murder

Hey,
I know it has almost been a month, since my last book blog post. For that I apologise but I do have some excuses for not reading a lot this month. As I have been busy doing other tasks also I have been celebrating my birthday. Anyway back to introducing this blog posts book. The book I'm reviewing is called The Cinderella Murder wrote by two people, Mary Higgins Clark and Alafair Burke.
I would just like to welcome back the older readers and welcome to all the new readers to this blog. I would like to ask all you lovely readers in simple question. Once you've read this great book review would you either please give it a like or even share with your friends or even your family members if you wanted too. Now it is time to dive into the book with a bit more detail. Which is taken from the back of the book also known as the blurb. "Television producer Laurie Moran is delighted when the pilot for her reality drama. Under Suspicion is a success. A cold case series that revisits unsolved crimes by recreating them with those affected, it helped solve an infamous murder in the very first episode." "Now Laurie has the ideal case for the next episode: the Cinderella Murder. When Susan Dempsey, a Californian university student, was found dead, her murder raised numerous questions." "With the helped of lawyer and Under Suspicion host Alex Buckley, Laurie knows the case will attract great ratings, especially when the former suspects include Hollywood's elite and tech billionaires. But is Cinderella's murderer ready for a close-up?" Well lovely readers that is your lot for this book. Remember no spoilers.
Readers, it is time to introduce the great authors who wrote this book, I know most people don't really read this part of my blog post. But if you do let me know in the comment box below on the blog. Here we go, Mary Higgins Clark, number one international and New York Times bestselling author, has written thirty-four suspense novels; three collections of short stories; a historical novel, Mount Vernon Love Story; two children's books, including The Magical Christmas Horse; and a memoir, Kitchen Privileges. With her daughter Carol Higgins Clark, she has coauthored five more suspense novels. Her books have sold more than 100 million copies in the United States alone. The other author is Alafair Burke. Alafair Burke is the New York Times bestselling author of eleven novels, including Long Gone, If You Were Here and the latest in the Ellie Hatcher series, All Day and a Night. A former prosecutor, she now teaches criminal law and lives in Manhattan.
Now it is time for the most important part of the book blog post, the opinion. So where do I start? I guess the front cover, the title grabbed my attention first and when I eventually took a look at the cover. It made me feel all creepy with the fog and the black silhouette standing alone. Once I started reading the book I fell in love with it as I could tell the way the plot line was heading. A few chapters in, the book skipped and it did a massive time jump which left me confused. As the new chapters started with completely new characters. I found myself putting the book down as the mystery wasn't getting my heart-racing like some other books. Sometimes I even wished it would just got straight to the point. But once you start reading a crime novel you have to finish it too find out who had done it. When it got to the middle of the book, it was like the book changed and the plot line picked up. From the middle of the book, I finished the book in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. When I got to the end of the book I didn't suspect the person who committed the crime at all throughout the book. It was definitely a eye-opener, on how quickly things can change and how quickly the truth comes out. Can't wait to read what happens next.
I would recommend this book to the adults so from 18 and above as there are some things in this book that younger readers shouldn't read. To all the crimes readers out there, give this one a go. I would give this book a 8/10. Book Review: After The Crash

Hey,
Here we again, a new month a new review from me. There are only a certain amount of ways you can start a new book blog post. After that they just become more reparative. For that I'm sorry, anyway back to this book blog post. This post is all about, After The Crash by Michel Bussi.
So welcome to all my new readers. If you haven't read any of my other blog posts don't worry. The reason why I write these blogs, is too spread my favourite reads and bestsellers with you. So you can go out and buy them yourselves and enjoy them just as much as I did. Readers, if you didn't read my last book blog post which was, The Kind Worth Killing. Then you won't know that I made some changes too my post. I put the book description before I introduced the author too you the readers I'm about to do the same thing in this blog post. In other words here is the book description it is taken from the back of the book also known as the blurb. "On the night of 22 December, a plane crashes on the Franco-Swiss Border." "All the passengers are killed instantly, apart from one miraculous survivor- a three month old baby girl. But who is she?" "Two families step forward to claim her, but is she Lyse-Rose or Emilie?" "Two decades later, on the eve of her eighteenth birthday, the detective who investigated the case makes a discovery that could change everything..." That is the end of the description, anymore and it would spoil the book. Nobody would buy it and that's not good.
Now it is time to introduce the author too you the readers of this book blog post here we go, Michel Bussi is one of France's most celebrated crime authors. He is the winner of more than 15 major literary awards. Michel Bussi is a professor of geography at the University of Rouen and a political commentator. This book After The Crash is his first book to appear in English. It will also be translated into over twenty languages (I bet most people won't read this paragraph)
I guess it is time, for the most important part of a book review it is the opinion. So here it is. Where do I start... The beginning of the book definitely takes a giant leap and gets straight to the point. But when it jumps forward the eighteen years. It feels like it has taken a giant leap backwards. I felt like the book was like a wind-up toy as it took more time to get me more excited about the book again. It was a very slowed paced beginning. I was putting the book down more than picking it up. When I eventually got to the halfway point it felt like a totally different book. As the pace picked up and I couldn't put the book down any longer. I kept reading it faster as I wanted to turn each page quicker, because I wanted to know what the end was going to be like and to see if they solved the mystery. Overall it was a well written mystery and I can't wait to see what this person writes next.
I would totally give this book a 7/10. I would also recommend this book to the older audience as there is a lot of use of strong language and that would be inappropriate for younger readers. If you wish to stay updated on my blogs and when I upload a new book blog post please give me a follow. You can also read my other posts at laurennpullennreviews.blogspot.co.uk Thank you for always choosing my blogs to read. It totally means a lot.
