(That's if you celebrate Christmas where your from) But it is now time to start reading and get these reviews out so you can start reading them again. Especially now that the festive period is now over. BOOO!! Here is the first one back. This book is called What She Left written by T.R.RICHMOND I hope you enjoy reading the first review back!!
So welcome to 2017 and welcome to all my lovely new readers. If your me around here this is the part of my blog where I get the attention of you, the readers by writing down the description of the book. Otherwise known as the blurb, the blurb can be found on the book cover of a book. I hope you are enjoying these blogs posts. So here is the blurb from the back cover. "Alice Salmon young, smart, ambitious with her whole life ahead of her. Until the night she mysteriously drowns." "Nobody knows how or why. But Alice left a few clues: her diary, texts, emails and social media trail. Alice is gone but fragments of the life she led remain and in them might lie the answer to what really happened to her if only someone can piece it all together before it vanishes for ever..." Some people may want to read it straight from a picture so here is a picture of the back of the book if you prefer that!
For many readers of my blog, this is the part which the hate the most. I would imagine. As this part is all about the author who has spent many hours coming up with this story and has had to deal with many edits between him and the publishers. I put this bit in as it makes me think about the author more. So here is that vital information everybody wants too read. T.R.RICHMOND is an award winning journalist who has has written for local, regional and national newspapers, magazines and websites. What She Left is his debut novel and he currently lives in London UK.
The time has come to give my opinion on this book. When I first saw the reviews they were all four or five stars. I thought it didn't really deserve that, maybe more two to three stars. I can't say I really enjoyed this book. I was expecting it to be more of a story with chapters. But it wasn't it was more snip bits of information. I found myself putting the book down, more than I was picking it up. When I did eventually pick it back up again, I had forgotten what I had read. So I had to re-read some of information again. Which got boring after a while, in the end I was actually glad that I finished the book and I was also glad that I found out who actually did the crime. If I had to say a few nice things about the book I would say that the characters were well written and I wasn't expecting the ending!!
I would give this book a 6/10. Even though I didn't enjoy it that much I still like to recommend books. This one is for all you crime fiction readers out there.
