Soooo it's just been over a month since my last book review. I apologise for that as I also said that I would try to upload more book reviews than twice a month. Anyway December is always a busy month for most people. Family to see and gifts to buy. I'm glad to be back writing my book reviews, as I have just finished this great book. One last thing, how are you, my lovely readers? So this book review is all about Die Again written by Tess Gerritsen.
I would just like to say welcome to new readers and thank you for choosing my blog to read. This is the part of my blog where I let you, the reader read more of the background of the story. The next part of this blog will be taken from the blurb. One question I would like to ask, Would you the reader, like more pictures of the book? Here you go the blurb, "Six years ago, a group of travellers set off on an African Safari. Only one woman returned. The only woman to have seen the killer's face. "In Boston, Detective Jane Rizzoli and Forensic Pathologist Maura Isles are investigating a bizarre murder. When another victim is discovered, it is clear that this murderer has been at work for years- and not just locally." "Has the 'safari killer' resurfaced in Boston? There is one survivor who can help Rizzoli. But only if she can convince her to face death once again...." So what do you think? Remember there are no spoilers, so if you have already read the book don't give it away to other readers.
The next part of my blog is where I introduce the great author of this well written book, to you my lovely readers. Most people don't even think about the authors or even the amount of time it takes to actually write a book. I bet most people think that this part of my blog is the boring and they skip straight to the opinion part of my blog. I will now dedicate this certain part of my blog to each author. So here we go here is a bit about the author. Bestselling author Tess Gerritsen is also a physician, and she brings to her novels her first- hand knowledge of emergency and autopsy rooms. Her thrillers starring homicide detective Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles inspired the hit TV series Rizzoli & Isles. But Tess's interests span far more than medicine and crime. As an anthropology student at Stanford University, she catalogued centuries-old human remains, and she continues to travel the world, driven by her fascination with ancient cultures and bizarre natural phenomena. She lives with her husband in Maine.
Where do I start with this book. I never judge a book by its cover but I think that's a good place to start. What grabbed my attention was the sad look on the girl and the dark silhouette standing beside her. It definitely sends a shiver down my spine. I was hooked from the very beginning of the book. I could hardly put the book down. It kept me wanting more at the end of each page. The book is definitely full of suspense to keep your mind jogging. It is a crime fiction readers dream. If I could of had the chance to read the book in one straight day I would have done it. I have to say the book was structured very well it didn't give anything away even with all the clues we had throughout the book. When I came to the end of the book I didn't want it too end. I had wished I read it slower. Can't wait to read the next Tess Gerritsen book. Excellent job on Die Again.
I would give this book a 9/10. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good crime fiction novel or just loves to read in general and who are 18 and over.
