Welcome back to my blog posts. Okay I know it's been over a month since I last posted a blog post! I have been busy so therefore I haven't had a chance to read my books as often as I like. I have heard many things about this book. Some of them good and some not so good. So I thought I would give this book a chance and read it for myself once I had the time to spare. I eventually got round to reading it. So this is my review, of the book. That book is called The Night Circus written by Erin Morgenstern. I hope you enjoy reading this review just as much as I love reading my books!
Now this part is all about the author who wrote this book. Many people think of them as just another ordinary person. I don't think that at all. I think of them as the hard working person who has spent many days sat at a computer staring at screens, answering emails and attending countless meetings. To produce the never-ending supply of books to people who love to read. It takes a lot of skill, in which I am truly grateful for. So I dedicate this paragraph to all authors and enspired authors across the world. This special author is Erin Morgenstern. Here is some information about her. That's if yo want too read it. Erin grew up in Massachusetts (U.S.A) and studied theatre and studio art at Smith College. Erin currently lives with her husband in Manhattan (USA) where she is currently working on a new novel. To pass the time she collects jewellery made from old keys she also knits and paints. The Night Circus is the first of many books to come.
Now it is time to take a closer look at the book itself. I like to put this part into my blog posts as it gives you, the public a chance to read the back of the book and whether or not you want to go out and buy it. I'm talking about the blurb which is otherwise known as the back of the book. Please let me know if you enjoy this part of the blog. Your opinion really does matter. It means I can improve my blog in the future with the information you give me. So here is the blurb of the book: "The circus arrives without warning no announcements precede it... It is simply there, when yesterday it was not." Some people prefer to read the back of the book themselves. So for those people you can find a picture of the book at the end of this paragraph. But remember if you have already read this book ( You may not be reading this) No spoilers!!
Like I said in the beginning I've heard so many things about this book good and bad. So I thought I would give it a read and see what all the fuss was about. It is now time to give my opinion about this book. I started to read this book with a open mind as this type of book isn't normally my usual cup of tea. When I started it I couldn't stop. Couldn't put the book down. I found myself reading the book whenever I had the time to. I wanted to dive in deeper, especially as the characters had so much mystery about them. You really need a good imagination for this book. But the longer I read the more tired I was getting so therefore my mind started to lose interest the closer I got to the end. I ended up re-reading parts and starting to count the amount of pages I had left of each chapter. In a way I was glad I had finished the book. Overall the book was well written and had interesting characters. Can't wait to see what she writes in the future.
I would like to give this book a 7/10. Even though I lost interest I would like to recommend this book to anyone who generally loves to read and has a great imagination. You can find my other blog posts at laurennpullennreviews.blogspot.co.uk where you can follow, leave questions or leave your recommendations for me. Thank you again for your continued support. It definitely means a lot to me.
Until my next book review x
